Collector's Specialty Woods has been granted FSC Chain of Custody certification! We are proud to be a part of this council and join in the work to promote responsible forest management. FSC certification helps us express our environmental commitment and allows us help our customers choose wood with the confidence that they are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests. |

| The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit created to encourage responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC developed the first worldwide certification system for forests and forest products, and its logo guarantees that the product comes from accountable sources - environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable. FSC participation is voluntary, and is being driven by demand for a specialty product. This has put it at the forefront of global forest management. They use standard setting, independent certification and labeling to track forest products from the source to final customer. FSC directly or indirectly addresses issues such as illegal logging, deforestation and global warming and has positive impacts on economic development, environmental conservation, poverty alleviation and social and political empowerment. | ||

Our FSC certification was granted by The Rainforest Alliance's SmartWood program. Their certification process is based on audit results and their certificates are issued for five-year periods. The process of certification, including onsite assessments and audits, was very educational, and we look forward to sharing with you what FSC and SmartWood can mean for your wood purchases. |
